Mr. Gardner recently joined the firm in 2007. Prior to that, he was a criminal prosecutor in
Phoenix for the Maricopa County Attorney's Office. As a prosecutor Mr. Gardner personally handled jury and bench trials before city and Superior Court judges. This included personally preparing and arguing motions before these judges. He is still a member of the Arizona Bar.
Mr. Gardner earned his B.A. degree from
Brigham Young University in 2003. In 2006, he earned his J.D. from the
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law. While at UNC he participated in Moot Court and Mock Trial, earning several awards in competitions. He was the Senior Associate Justice for the school's Holderness Moot Court, and was named a member of the Order of the Barristers, a national honorary organization which recognizes excellence in written and oral advocacy skills.
Mr. Gardner grew up in Spanish Fork, and has returned to live there with his wife Shalei and their family. He attended
Spanish Fork High School , where he played for the basketball team. He still enjoys playing basketball, as well as golf, rock climbing, and horseback riding.
